Freeze drying is a technology that entails a high energy consumption. A poorly optimized recipe can cause the economic cost of making the lyophilized product to explode, in addition to negatively affecting productivity.

Volumes can be seamlessly scaled up. The same parameters determined in process development can be used with the different containers, if same filling height is maintained.
Consistent concept: container with membrane cover. The same type of membrane with the same specifications is used for all sizes, so the barrier does not change during the upscaling process. Freeze-drying parameters that have already been identified can be transferred and lead to same drying result.
Material used for seamless upscale product line (cups and trays): stainless steel 316L (1.4404), polished
Engraved serial number facilitates allocation and documentation.
Flexibility
Start with the small cup for process development and scale up to a larger container during production. In case more material is required you only need to order the next size. Trays are customizable in size and can be adjusted to freeze-dryer shelves individually.
